The Kirovo-Chepetsk narrow gauge railway, also known as the Karinskaya narrow gauge railway or the Kirovo-Chepetsk rapid transit system is an old Soviet time narrow gauge railroad, which connects the main part of Kirovo-Chepetsk (Cheptsa river right coast) to Tekhnicheskaya station (Karintorf suburb area), crossing a bridge over the river. During winter time people living in the suburb can get into town by simply walking over river ice, but at summer the small railroad remains the only way to get in and out of the suburb. The locomotive is a TU-7.

Inside view of one of the coaches of "the Kirovo-Chepetsk rapid transit system". Similar old narrow gauge coaches have been in use throughout the former Soviet Union and in many former Eastern block satellite states. They are typically from the late 1950s or early 1960s. Many were built in Poland by Pafawag.
