Browsing with the MM3WebAssistant and the browser of your choice can be done nearly the same way as before. All you have to do is start the MM3WebAssistant. The files requested by the browser are then loaded from the Internet or cache, depending on the option used with the MM3WebAssistant. For more information see Help: Main menu and Help: Options.

The browser now also recognizes the instruction "ls" in the URL line. This may be inserted individually or after each "/" of a URL.

This command displays the respective directory.

In the MM3WebAssistant Professional edition the directory to be shown can in addition be reduced by a filter

The filtration obtains itself on the name of the domain at the highest level.

After the MM3WebAssistant has been installed and the subject-related folders have been created as indicated, the instruction "ls" will generate the following output:

http://ls

This output can also be displayed in the search window when using Microsoft Internet Explorer. See Options/General.

Please mind that not all files are available locally when you browse in the offline mode. With the ls instruction all files that are available locally under the URL entered can be listed. Additional functions are available, if Java-Script is activated in MM3WebAssistant and browser. Procedure in the case of files that are not available can be configurated. See Options/Local.

Alternatively it is possible to display and to navigate into the cache with a applet. This functionality is only available with installed JRE 1.2 (browser plugin).
