Installation Edition Professional

Unlike other programs the installation steps are transparent completely. The configuration of your computer isn't change at installation of the MM3WebAssistant automatically. The installation and deinstallation are comprehensible thus completely for you.

The installation consists essentially:


Step-for-Step Instruction:

  1. With decompressing the MM3WebAssistant ZIP archive you get the folder MM3-WebAssistantProfessional. We suggest to store this folder at your other programs. Later you can create additional folders for web pages.

    Please use for decompression a newer version of a program for this propose. In other cases the result may be not correct. Alternative you can use a simple
    Java-Program for this task.
  2. Requirement for use the MM3WebAssistant is a Java Virtual Machine J2SE version 1.4 (or higher). If these is available then the program simply can be started by clicking the file MM3-WebAssistant.jar in the folder MM3-WebAssistantProfessional.
    After that MM3WebAssistant starts and a logo appears.

    If the logo doesn't appear the Java Virtual Machine isn't or not correct installed. Free Java Virtual Machine are offered from different manufacturers.

    If the java machine isn't installed correctly, you can use the following alternative:

    • For operating systems of Microsoft the BAT file:
      MM3-WebAssistant.bat
    • For operating system Linux and Unix the script:
      MM3-WebAssistant.sh
    • For operating system of Apple:
      Mac OS X can be started by selecting of JAR archive. The version OS X 10.2.3 is needed at least.

    Doesn't start MM3WebAssistant with this files, the environment variable is not defined correctly in BAT or in script file. After starting with a script file successfully you can change the faulty file type assignment in the system. Now you can start the program with the file MM3-WebAssistant.jar directly.

    Note for users of a Personal Firewall.

  3. Now you get a short introduction after this the license agreements are displayed to you.
    Please, confirm these with: Accept license.
    In the following you receive with the button Next the next dialog and with the button Back the precede dialog.

  4. Click on: Request an evaluation license

  5. Enter your name and e-mail address

    The license is going to send to you by e-mail within two working days. This license is limited up to a month.

    Possible failures:
    • Inputs aren't complete.
      Complete your input.
    • There is no online connection.
      Connect to internet and request your license (Send again ...).
    • Your internet connection needs an additional proxy.
      In the dialog box you enter the HTTP proxy address and port.
  6. After you have received an e-mail with the license save your private registration data MM3-WebAssistantRegister.txt.
    Start the MM3WebAssistant now and import your registration data with bottom Import a license..
  7. Enter the proxy into browser
    Please, open the Browser now which you want to use when you are surfing with the MM3WebAssistant.

    On this browser you switch on the proxy and enter for protocol types HTTP, HTTPS and FTP the IP address 127.0.0.1 and port 8080

    The required proxy configuration is illustrated by a step-by-step description. For the browser:

    Should you ever wish not to use the the MM3WebAssistant for any particular operations, just deactivate the switched-on proxy.

  8. Test of Installation
    Please, check now the installation with an example.


Now the installation has been completed.
