Pohtzee

The object of the game is to get a score of 700 or more.

This game is similar to Yahtzee, except that it is played with cards instead. The game is played with the 24 cards of values from Nine up to Ace (which has a value of 14 in this game).

The game is played by dealing a set of five cards. Cards can be removed and replaced with more cards from the deck by clicking on the cards you want to keep and then pressing the deal button. The cards can be dealt three times (including the initial deal of five cards) in a turn, after which a score must be chosen, even if this results in a score of zero for the turn.

Scores are recorded in the score table in 13 different positions. The first six positions score the total value of the cards that match the position name. For example, if there are 2 Nines, then the first position (labeled "Nines") would score 18. If the total of the first six positions is 150 or more, then an additional bonus of 70 is awarded.

The other seven positions score as follows:

Potential scores are shown in the score positions in red, and one can be chosen by clicking on it.

If the "Pohtzee" score position already has a score of 100, then addition "Pohtzee" bonuses of 100 can be gained by clicking for further "Pohtzee" sets of cards by clicking on the score position again. Don't worry about this, the score position will show the new potential score in red when appropriate.

The game is successfully completed if the score of 700 or more is achieved.
