LINKASSISTANT 1.0 INSTALLATION INSTUCTIONS (Windows Version)

1) REQUIREMENTS

LinkAssistant is written using the latest Java technology, so you must have the latest Java Runtime Environment (JRE) Version 1.4 or later installed before you install LinkAssistant.

Please visit the http://www.java.com page to download and install Java.

2) WINDOWS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

INSTALL

  - Unpack the downloaded zip archive and save files somewhere on your hard disk.

  - Run the installation program (setup.exe) and follow the instructions.

	Note
Shortcut icons for launching LinkAssistant may be not created on your Desktop or in your Start Menu if you are using a non-english Windows(tm) version. More precisely, this problem is caused by non-latin symbols in your current Windows Profile. Please keep in mind that this is a temporary problem and will be fixed as soon as possible. In this case you may easily start LinkAssistant by running the /bin/linkassistant.exe from your installation directory.

RUN

  - To run the application double-click the LinkAssistant icon on you desktop or start the linkassistant.exe from the product installation directory.

NOTES

  - If you do not have a Java virtual machine 1.4 or later installed, be sure to download and install it before installing LinkAssistant. Note that we do not recommend the beta version of the Java virtual machine 1.5 for Windows since it can cause abnormal termination of the application.

  - Copy the license key in the application license dialog.

We hope you like LinkAssistant. If you have any suggestions or comments, or any questions please contact us at support@link-assistant.com
