In Zork I, there is a chimney that leads from the painter's studio up to 
the kitchen.  In Sherbet, I had figured out that I was in the white 
house, and so the addition of a "new" stove where there was once a 
chimney was significant.

I like the author's deft defusion of this habit of using Zork I knowledge 
with the response to "move the rug" in the living room.
