SPOILER FOLLOWS, PEOPLE!!!!

I know that by drawing and erasing lines on the map you can change the
connections between rooms near where the Terror is. But I still can't
figure out how to get the scroll and escape while keeping the Terror
in the maze. I tried looking it up in the hint book, but the answer
started "connect b and z", and there is no room z!!! So... help?
Please?
