I got plonked in front of a GPLed simulator called tkGate a while ago; it
works well enough that I've built a simple microcoded processor complete
with a 'glass TTY' hooked up.  It also spits out something that is
apparently within delta of Verilog source.

Oh, most certainly; how do we get at it though?  Anybody got a copy of _Mobo
Hacking for Dummies_?
