In separate mail, Neil mentioned that he's using an old version of
MaxZip, which explains *part* of the problem. (Clearing the screen would
cause a crash under certain circumstances. In recent versions of MaxZip
(1.4 or later), the bug manifests differently; when the screen is
cleared, the top line remains visible -- usually reading "Hit any key to
continue" or some such. But this is *not* a fatal error, just a display
flaw. If version 1.5.1 crashes on anyone, please tell me about it.)

I was able to at least start up all the Inform competition entries
under MaxZip 1.5.1. The only one that acted strangely was "Delusions",
which didn't crash, but did display all its text in fixed-width mode.
That's the game everyone seems to be having trouble with.
