                   POTENTIAL MAJOR GEOMAGNETIC STORM UPDATE

                        UPDATED: 15:00 UT, 01 DECEMBER

                    /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\

ATTENTION:

The anticipated geomagnetic disturbance arrived at about 12:00
UTC on 01 December and has produced minor-storm conditions over many
high and middle latitude regions over the last 3 hours. Major to
possibly severe storming will be possible over all regions during
the next 24 to 48 hours.

HF signals have been degraded for transpolar and
transauroral paths. Other paths transiting through the sunrise
sectors are also noticing moderate degradation on middle and high
latitude paths. Absorption and fading levels have increased notably
during the last 3 to 6 hours and are expected to continue at
moderate to strongly enhanced levels for the duration of this
  disturbance.
