"This position of the OPC resulted in the expulsion of men like Dr. Gordon Clark and even now is resulting in the persecution of men of God within the OPC. I wonder if our committee told the OPC of our views of the well-meant free offer, that it is damnable heresy." Prof. Engelsma wishes to correct two items: 1. Prof. Engelsma's term as rector (seminary president) has expired. In the Protestant Reformed Seminary, the rectorship is a rotating post with three year terms, and functions less like a traditional seminary presidency and more like the chairmanship of an academic department in a college. 2. Prof. Engelsma wishes to correct the last sentence to read as follows: "I wonder if our committee told the OPC of our views of the well-meant free offer, that it is Arminian heresy." ----------------------------------------------------------- file: /pub/resources/text/reformed/archive99: nr99-067C.txt .
